about life as it might be lived

Video

As anyone who knows me can tell you, I really love the UN - not because I think it’s particularly effective in high profile situations, but for two reasons that I think are equally as important: 1) all the work they do behind the scenes that you probably don’t realize and 2) the promise it offers of a better world.

todaysdocument:

The Charter of the United Nations was ratified on October 24, 1945, now celebrated as United Nations Day

Did you ever tour the UN Headquarters or participate in the Model United Nations?

about life as it might be lived Major theater geek (let's talk Brecht. Anyone?) with an obsession with turn of the century pop culture and literature. So basically I'm your typical nerd. Devoted fan of the Red Sox, even when they make me want to cry, and currently studying at university in the Northeast of the USA. General musings, a newly-developed obsession with cat videos and a long-existing obsession with the ridiculousness of my roommates. OK. Let's be real here. Mostly this has turned into my Harry Potter obsession blog with some other random stuff thrown in. It's fine. I'm clearly not alone. Ohai, Tumblr. Looking for my professional blog? Check it out here.
